The Gifts of Healing

Before I get further with this one, let me very boldly say something about all the "so called" healings that go on in today’s churches.   

A Healing from God is NOT your body’s natural fighting off of an illness.  Don’t even try to say that God healed you from the Flu when you’ve been on medication for days or weeks on end after going to the doctor several times.  Don’t tell me God healed you of your stomach problems miraculously at the same time you had your Gall Bladder removed.  Don’t tell me God healed you of high blood pressure when you are still on the medication.  All those are NOT TRUE.  God DID NOT “heal” you. 

The Gifts of Healing in EVERY SINGLE INSTANCE in the Word of God were either immediately or very, very shortly after the prayer for healing (in most cases, from “that hour” as the Word of God records).  There is no other instance in the Word that someone was healed “over a period of time, little by little”.  All such statements as this are false.  You are only trying to rationalize to make some false prophet look good.  STOP IT.  God wants TRUTH.  

I know a lady who went for several months having chemo and radiation treatments for cancer (successfully) who now says “God healed me of Cancer”.  I know of yet another one who says “God healed me of Endometriosis”, who by the way, had never been to a single doctor to confirm that she even had Endometriosis.  Not only was the original claim of healing a lie, it was a lie upon a lie.  THAT is not God! 

When God heals, there is NO doubt that it is God.   

The gifts of Healing are supernatural and given of God.  Period.  Now I do have to say and I believe you will agree that not all “healing” is physical.  I do believe that healings could be psychological, emotional or physical.   

The Gifts of Healing are Not

They are not simply “Science” or Medical Science.  Don’t get me wrong.  If you are sick, I strongly encourage you to seek the Lord Jesus concerning your sickness and IF he doesn't answer or doesn't heal, seek a doctor. .  I DO believe God gave us enough common sense to seek a doctor! 

I believe there are illnesses that could be caused by a Spirit of Infirmity.  These cannot be dealt with at a doctor.  You need Jesus to do that.  There is no doubt that worry, fear, hatred, and other negative emotions can cause physical problems and may prevent a person from the natural recovery from an illness.  Many times, removing these negative factors and stresses can have a healing effect on a person if the illness is psychosomatic.  This method does not work on real sickness and disease and is NOT a manifestation of the Gifts of Healing. 

The Gifts of Healing are NOT “Spiritism”.  There are many deceived ones out there who operate by Spiritism and not by the Word of God.  In Spiritism, someone is, let’s say, prayed over for a stomach problem.  The stomach problem goes, but suddenly they are having headaches.  They get prayed over again and the headaches disappear, but no they are having sinus problems.  Does this sound strange to you?  What do you think is happening?  Let me explain.  The Word of God is very clear that Satan will not “stand against himself”  Spiritism uses demons to produce a “false” healing in which the infirmity simply moves to another part of the body.  This is NOT to ever be associated with ANY gift of God. 

What are the Gifts of Healing? 

The Spiritual gift of healing is the supernatural manifestation of the Spirit of God that miraculously brings healing and deliverance from disease and infirmities whether emotional, psychological or physical. 

It is the power of God that destroys the work of the devil in the human body.  No other explanation is acceptable.
